Research Interests
- Development of integrated manufacturing system
e.g., 3-D printing system, micro/nano manufacturing system (aerodynamically focused nanoparticle (AFN) printing, nanoscale 3-D printer, electrospinning and etc.). - Composite structure, structural health monitoring (SHM), and nondestructive evaluation (NDE) of mechanical system
- Smart material, structure, and system
e.g., soft robotic, polymer actuator, shape memory alloy, and etc. - Development of novel actuator/sensor/energy device and their application to flexible and wearable device
- Wave dynamics in periodic media
e.g., acoustic metamaterial, phononic crystal, and etc. - Smart off-grid system for the appropriate technologies
